I am happy to announce that painted coda’s new album The Vanishing has been released! It is a much darker release than the previous Eternity—if the new art and imagery hasn’t given it away already—in terms of both mood and sound. Each song in The Vanishing tells a different story (except for the two “Portrait” tracks which tell the same story), and a few are somewhat surreal. Some common themes between these stories are obsession, loss, and depression. Songwriting for the album started in late 2016 (before the release of Eternity), and twice the number of tracks were written, but only half of them made it to the final release.
Currently, the album is only available through Bandcamp (fully streamable), but there are plans of putting it on more services. It will also be fully streamable on painted coda’s youtube channel, as with previous releases.
