New album “Moonlight Flower”

After 2 years of no activity (I should be more active on social media), I’m happy to announce that my new album will finally be released under the title “Moonlight Flower”! It’s a concept album that tells the story of a man who one night sees the ghost of his sister, who has disappeared when they were kids, and chases after her as she runs into the mountain. Musically, I tried to experiment a bit more on this album, as well as mixing in some other genres I don’t usually do. It’s still very much a progressive rock album though.

As usual, the album is available to fully stream on my Bandcamp page, as well as on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play. This time, I’m also putting it on Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, and iHeartRadio.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you can find some enjoyment in my new music.

Stay safe!

Moonlight Flower (512)

“The Vanishing” and “Eternity” now on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Google Play!

painted coda’s 2 albums “The Vanishing” and “Eternity” are now available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Google Play! You may now enjoy these albums on your favourite streaming service outside of Bandcamp 🙂

Other than that, just a few short updates. Songwriting for the upcoming album is going quite well. I don’t want to reveal much yet, but the next album will be another concept album with a story. Stay tuned for more information in 2019!

New album “The Vanishing” released

I am happy to announce that painted coda’s new album The Vanishing has been released! It is a much darker release than the previous Eternity—if the new art and imagery hasn’t given it away already—in terms of both mood and sound. Each song in The Vanishing tells a different story (except for the two “Portrait” tracks which tell the same story), and a few are somewhat surreal. Some common themes between these stories are obsession, loss, and depression. Songwriting for the album started in late 2016 (before the release of Eternity), and twice the number of tracks were written, but only half of them made it to the final release.

Currently, the album is only available through Bandcamp (fully streamable), but there are plans of putting it on more services. It will also be fully streamable on painted coda’s youtube channel, as with previous releases.

Please check it out. I will be very happy if the album is able to connect with you in any way 🙂

New site launched!

A new site for painted coda has been launched!

The old blog has been moved to a different link, and is still accessible via “Blog” in the site menu, if anyone’s interested in reading my old posts, which were mostly music reviews (mainly classical music).
